Summary
The role of secretary is the creation, maintenance and distribution of documentation relating to the society in order to help the committee to run in an efficient manner. The secretary also helps to maintain focus within the committee.
Duties
Prepare the agenda for any general meeting
Document general meetings
Distribute minutes from general meetings to members within a reasonable time frame
Keep a record of all general meetings. (/home/compsoc/Minutes)
Record minutes during committee meetings.
Type up these records and send to committee members on the committee mailing list.
Keep track of documentation, and correspondence between the societies committee and other parties.
Keep track of what happens at Clubs and Socs council and inform the committee of any relevant happenings.
Try and establish connections with companies that might be able to assist the society with its needs.
