Prague Transport ticket

Prague has a Integrated Transport network (PID) which covers all forms of public transport.

We had the option to get paper tickets (and would have to get them validated) however the cost for teh week was €32.06.
However there is the option for a month of public transport for only €22.61.
The catch is ye must download, install and setup teh app, and then pay for teh ticket yerself (this has been discounted from teh amount ye send us).

Setup procedure

Go to https://www.dpp.cz/jizdne/mobilni-aplikace
- Keep it in Czech, no English version of teh page exists.
Download teh app for yer phone (apple/androind)

Now that ye have teh app downloaded its time to create an account and login

Open up the app and ye will find a page like this:

On the signin page select the signup option.
it will look like the image below.
Fill in the details ye want to use (I recommend using yer personal not yer uni email).

Verify

After ye click on Sign-Up ye will get an email to verify.
Click on teh link in that mail to verify.
Beware it times out really fast.

Sign into the app using the email/pass ye choose.

When ye get in it should look like this:

Setup Identifier

To be able to buy the ticket we must setup our account and set it up as an identifier.
(An identifier is explaned on the FAQ)

Switch over to the Passes tab and select Register as Identifier.

Supported Devices

Ye will see this screen:

From teh FAQ a supported device is:

The mobile application can be registered as an identifier on a device running iOS 9.3 and higher or a device running Android 6.0 and higher. In the case of the Android operating system, only devices with an inserted SIM card or support for hardware key storage are supported.

Click on Complete the Profile to continue.

Complete Profile

Enter yer user details in the Edit Profile form.

Name
- As far as I can tell ye can use whatever name ye feel comfortable using
- Technically they can check against a form of ID, but since we are going for the adult ticket (full cost) that should be less of an issue.
Mobile
- To get teh international variation of yer mobile phone number
- Replace the leading 0 with +353

it is goign to ask ye to verify yer details, do make sure tehy are correct.

Suitable Photo

its going to bring ye back to teh identifier setup screen.

Select Upload Photo.

From teh FAQ there are these requirements.

The photo captures the whole face from the front view, open eyes.

The photo captures the entire face - from the top of the head to the shoulders.

The photo is taken in front of a monochrome light background.

There are no shadows in the photo that would impede the legibility of the face.

Photographs must not be taken with sunglasses or a headgear (unless there is an exception, e.g. for health or religious reasons).

The photo must be colourful, easy to read, without significant adjustments.

The photo must match the current appearance of the passenger.

Ye can coose one from teh gallery or take a selfie.
